The European Commission has reported that the European Union has granted Ukraine access to its emergency cybersecurity support mechanism, previously available only to member states and certain partners.

Details: This will enable Ukrainian organisations to engage trusted private contractors to respond to serious cyber incidents and major cyberattacks.

The European Commission noted that Ukraine has gained access to incident response services provided under the EU Cybersecurity Reserve. If necessary, the country will be able to activate support to mitigate the consequences of significant cyberattacks on government institutions, critical infrastructure, or other vital systems.
