For 106 nights, supporters of the Islamic Republic maintained a constant presence on the streets. This began in the early hours of March 1, when the death of Ali Khamenei, the second Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, was officially confirmed. From those initial hours, state institutions sustained this street presence by organizing diverse programs, including speeches, elegies, anthem performances, debates, and religious ceremonies. They also set up food distribution stations (mokebs), cultural hubs, and entertainment booths for children.
Participants in these gatherings consistently emphasized their support for the Islamic Republic’s regional policies, the necessity of confronting Israel, and the continuation of the war. Over the past weeks, these rallies became one of the most prominent displays of street mobilization by regime loyalists, spanning numerous cities across the country. For months, various officials have stressed the need to maintain these gatherings, ranging from Mojtaba Khamenei, the third Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, to Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Parliament Speaker and head of the negotiation team. Members of parliament have also regularly participated as keynote speakers.
