Kabelo Rabotho (centre) explains the benefits of the Fiat Tris to two interested show attendees at the Transport Evolution Summit held at Gallagher Estate in Johannesburg.
The Fiat Tris, now being made in Morocco, will officially go on sale in South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa in the last quarter of this year.
“The way we move is changing,” said Stellantis micromobility director for SA and SSA Kabelo Rabotho. “The future will not only arrive through bigger roads and larger vehicles; sometimes it arrives quietly on two or three wheels in compact vehicles that take up less space and move more efficiently.”
He was speaking at the Transport Evolution Summit held at Gallagher Estate in Johannesburg, where the Fiat Tris was introduced to the public for the first time.
Micromobility was more than just two-wheel or three-wheel options, he said, but about choosing the right-sized solution for each journey.
