According to him, Kingibe personally told him that she neither signed nor agreed with the contents of the report, despite her name appearing on the document presented to the Senate.

A former Edo State governor and senator representing Edo North, Adams Oshiomhole, has alleged that Senator Ireti Kingibe told him her signature was forged on the Senate committee report that led to the suspension of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, deepening the controversy surrounding one of the most contentious episodes in Nigeria's Senate.

Oshiomhole made the claim on Monday while speaking during an interview on AIT, where he reacted to remarks by Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele, who had reportedly described Akpoti-Uduaghan's suspension as the lowest point of the Senate's last legislative year.

Responding to a question on whether he agreed with Bamidele's assessment, Oshiomhole said concerns had been raised by some senators regarding the authenticity of signatures attached to the committee report that recommended Natasha's suspension.

According to him, Kingibe personally told him that she neither signed nor agreed with the contents of the report, despite her name appearing on the document presented to the Senate.
