Netflix has unveiled the first trailer for Last House, a high-concept science-fiction thriller starring Greta Lee and Wagner Moura as parents trapped inside their home by an unexplained force.Directed by Louis Leterrier, the filmmaker behind Fast X and Now You See Me, the film was previously known under the working title 11817. The thriller is set to premiere on Netflix on August 7.The trailer introduces a family of four whose ordinary lives are abruptly shattered when they discover they can no longer leave their house. Doors and windows become impassable barriers, leaving them isolated from the outside world with dwindling supplies and no understanding of what has happened. Greta Lee’s character is seen grappling with the surreal nature of their situation, while Moura’s increasingly desperate father begins to suspect that something outside is actively preventing their escape.Lee has emerged as one of Hollywood’s most sought-after performers following acclaimed roles in Past Lives, Russian Doll, and The Morning Show. She also appears in upcoming projects including Tron: Ares and voice roles in Toy Story 5 and Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.Moura, meanwhile, earned widespread praise for performances in Narcos, Civil War, and The Secret Agent, which brought him an Academy Award nomination.Written by Matthew Robinson, whose credits include Love and Monsters, Last House also stars Riley Chung, Emma Ho, Noah Alexander Sosnowski, and Gabriel Barbosa.
