Aussie craft and fabric retailer Lincraft will close all of its physical stores across Australia and New Zealand. The iconic company confirmed the decision in an email to Lincraft Club members on Tuesday.The retailer has more than 60 stores across the two nations and has been in operation for more than 80 years. “Today, we are sharing news that is both difficult and deeply emotional for everyone at Lincraft,” the email read. “After more than 80 years of serving creative communities across Australia and New Zealand, we have made the decision to progressively close our physical store network over the coming months.“We understand that Lincraft holds a special place in the hearts of many customers, and we know this news will be disappointing for those who have shared our love of creativity, crafting, sewing, knitting, and home projects.”Lincraft managing director John Maguire confirmed the news to Inside Retail.“Our priority is to support our team members through this transition and to communicate with them as clearly and respectfully as possible,” Mr Maguire said.Lincraft will continue to operate online while the transition takes place.
