Volodymyr Zelensky, who arrived in Geneva, thanked Switzerland for its support of Ukraine during a meeting with Swiss President Guy Parmelin, particularly for its willingness to help bring about peace.
The President of Ukraine announced this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
He told Parmelin about the ongoing Russian attacks and Ukraine’s need to strengthen its air defense. He also discussed the situation on the front lines and Ukraine’s long-range sanctions.
“Our mid-range and long-range strikes are rightly making Russia feel the consequences of the war it started. And we discussed what sanctions our partners could impose to force Russia to the negotiating table,” Zelensky said.
The leaders of the two countries also discussed cooperation in the energy sector.
