MANILA, Philippines — More than a week after the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck offshore Maasim, Sarangani in Mindanao, state seismologists have recorded over 6,600 aftershocks.

As of 9 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16, data from the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) showed that 6,652 aftershocks had been recorded following the powerful offshore earthquake.
