Dawn dish soap and Band-Aid are America’s two most trusted brands for the second year in a row, according to Morning Consult’s Most Trusted Brands 2026 report.Band-Aid has held a top-two spot on the list since 2022, relinquishing number one to the soap maker last year.Google was ranked as the third most trusted brand, ahead of Dove and PayPal, which tied for fourth place. The Weather Channel, Heinz Ketchup, UPS, Hershey’s and Kleenex completed the top 10. The data comes from surveys conducted between January 1 and May 15, measuring over 3,200 brands with about 10,000 responses submitted for each brand.The top five most trusted brands for Gen Z adults include YouTube, followed by Dawn dish soap, Dove soap, Costco and PayPal. The top five for millennials includes PayPal, followed by Dove, Doritos, Google and YouTube.Tylenol was a standout in the report. In 2025, Morning Consult ranked the medicine brand the fourth most trusted brand. This year, it fell to number 19. The brand ranked the 12th most trusted brand among adult women.Last fall, President Donald Trump urged pregnant women to avoid using the medicine, linking its active ingredient acetaminophen to autism. Despite the drop in rank of 15 and the brand still navigating the crisis, it remains the single most trusted medicine brand on the list. Morning Consult said that negative buzz around the brand rose five times higher than previously measured, but trust in the brand hardly budged, losing less than two points on the firm’s trust scale.Mr. Pibb, Coca-Cola Company's “spicy cherry” soda brand, posted the single largest trust increase of any brand in the report. Its score rose by 13.7 points, bringing its total to 23.9.Consumers today are more heavily drawn to nostalgia with brands like Lunchables, Hot Wheels and Capri Sun all joining the legacy soda brand with trust gains.This story first appeared on PRWeek U.S.
