Police operatives reportedly responded swiftly to a distress call and evacuated the victims to the Police Clinic for emergency treatment.

Four persons have been killed and two others injured following a deadly shooting attack allegedly carried out by suspected cultists in the Post Office area of Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.

The Kwara State Police Command confirmed the incident in a statement issued on Monday, describing the attack as a cult-related shooting that occurred at about 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, 2026.

According to the police, a group of about five armed hoodlums stormed a shanty bamboo bar located along the railway corridor in the Post Office area and opened fire on people gathered at the spot before fleeing.
