Farah Khan and her chef and Man Friday Dilip, recently visited actress Tamannaah Bhatia’s home in Lokhandwala. The Om Shanti Om director seemed totally awed at her palatial apartment and described it as the best house in the neighbourhood. Although the home presents a modest appearance from the outside, marked only by a plain grey front door, the interior opens into a sophisticated and inviting environment. Soft ambient illumination, muted beige walls, ivory detailing, and a delicate blush-toned dining setup create an atmosphere of warmth and refinement. In the lounge, a luxurious white couch serves as the focal point, decorated with geometric cushions in striking shades that inject energy and character into the predominantly subtle colour scheme. The entryway showcases rich wooden finishes, while a statement olive-green wall, complemented by thoughtfully arranged houseplants, introduces a refreshing natural element. Much of the décor and furnishings adhere to a monochromatic black-and-white aesthetic, occasionally enlivened by colourful accents. A decorative fish tank further enhances the serene and relaxing mood of the space. While observing the aquarium, Farah Khan wondered whether its placement was connected to the principles of Feng Shui. Tamannaah Bhatia responded that she believed it carried some association with prosperity and positive fortune, though she was uncertain about the exact reasoning behind it. Hearing this, Farah remarked that regardless of the explanation, the arrangement appeared to have brought favourable results.According to Feng Shui principles, having an aquarium in your home can draw good luck and prosperity. Fish is said to bring a positive element to your home. Beyond the presence of fish, the water contained within an aquarium is considered an important element in the principles of Feng Shui. Traditional Feng Shui beliefs associate water with the movement of energy, prosperity, abundance, and the arrival of new opportunities. Just as fish are often regarded as symbols of good fortune and growth, water is thought to encourage a smooth and continuous flow of positive influences within a space. For this reason, an aquarium is often viewed as a powerful decorative feature that combines the symbolic benefits of both water and fish. Together, these elements are believed to create a harmonious environment, promote positive energy, and enhance feelings of balance and well-being.
