Everyone loves a bargain – particularly when money is tight.
Although the technique was widely used some 20 or 30 years ago, it seems to have slipped under the radar for many shoppers, especially younger generations more used to purchasing goods online.
The bargain hunter, known online as caroline.shops, explained how she secures a discount at Primark, saying: "If you see an item of clothing that you like but it's got a small mark on it, it might be because somebody has tried it on in the changing room and smudged lipstick on it.
As an example, you can go up to the till, point out the mark and ask, 'Can I get a reduction?'".
"Generally speaking, the staff will give you a 10% reduction because of that and, more often than not, these marks will come out in the wash." Caroline also claimed there are ways to earn cashback when spending money at Primark.
