Fox Corporation will acquire Roku for US$160 ($227) a share in a cash-and-stock deal that values the streaming video platform at an enterprise value of about US$22 billion.
The deal, which is expected to close in the first half of 2027, will combine Fox’s sports, news and entertainment with the platform that has more than 100 million subscribers, the companies said in a statement on Monday. Bloomberg on Friday reported Roku was in talks on a sale.
