Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said that the ambassadors of France, Germany and the United Kingdom brought "nothing new" to a meeting at his ministry last week.

Details: Lavrov met self-proclaimed Belarusian president Alexander Lukashenko in Minsk on Monday. He said they had discussed the role of Western countries "in resolving issues that go far beyond the Ukrainian conflict itself and concern the general principles of security both in Europe and globally".

Quote: "We share the same position. In the current situation, the Europeans are drawing the wrong conclusions, believing that Russia is now losing and Ukraine is winning, and therefore that they can issue ultimatums in the hope that Russia will accept them."
