Actress Sanchita Ugale, 22, was found dead at her residence in Nalasopara EastMUMBAI: Actress Sanchita Ugale, 22, was found dead at her home in Nalasopara East.According to Achole police, Ugale, a resident of Sai Santoshi Building in Achole village, allegedly hanged herself from a ceiling fan in her bedroom using a sari between 7 pm and 7. 30pm on June 14.Police said the actress had locked the bedroom door from inside before the incident. Family members later found her and rushed her to the Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation Hospital, where doctors declared her dead after examination.Police said no suicide note was recovered from the spot.Sanchita Ugale was known for her work in both television and films. She appeared in the popular TV serial Kumkum Bhagya and was also part of the Vicky Kaushal-starrer Chhaava, in which she portrayed the character of Tarabai.On Sunday, Achole police registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR) under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) based on a complaint filed by her father, Machinda Ugale.Her last social media post was an Instagram reel showing her dancing to a song, with fans flooding the comments section with praise and appreciation for the actress.Officials said further inquiry is underway to ascertain the circumstances leading to her death.Sanchita Ugale was known for appearances in television shows including ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ and ‘Wagle Ki Duniya’.She also featured in the Vicky Kaushal-starrer historical drama ‘Chhaava’, where she played the younger version of Tarabai.She appeared alongside Manoj Bajpayee in the investigative thriller ‘Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout’.Ugale also played the lead role in the serial ‘Dilwali Dulha Le Jayegi’.Her last social media activity included an Instagram reel where she was seen dancing, with fans posting messages praising her performance.She was found hanging at her house in Sai Santoshi Building, Achole village, Nalasopara East.Police said the incident took place on June 14 between 7pm and 7. 30pm.According to police, Ugale allegedly hanged herself using a sari from a ceiling fan in her bedroom.The bedroom door was reportedly locked from inside at the time of the incident.Police said no suicide note was recovered from the spot.Police said the actress’ father did not suspect foul play and did not hold anyone responsible for her death.The body has been sent for postmortem examination as police continue their inquiry.(With ANI inputs)
