Terrorists holding a final-year student of Ahman Pategi University, Patigi, and his brother captive have reportedly demanded a ransom of ₦50 million for their release, prompting an urgent appeal for financial assistance from a student association.
SaharaReporters gathered that Gana Usman, a final-year student in the Department of English at Ahman Pategi University, Patigi, and his brother were abducted by kidnappers and are currently being held in captivity.
Meanwhile, the abductors have contacted the family and demanded Fifty Million Naira (₦50,000,000) as a condition for releasing the victims.
The development has stirred concern among students and residents, with many expressing fears over the growing insecurity affecting communities and educational institutions across the country.
Meanwhile, the National Association of Patigi Emirate Students (NAPES), National Headquarters, has launched a public appeal for support to help secure the release of the student and his brother.
