Australia's youngest-ever World Cup goal scorer, Nestory Irankunda, said it's a "dream come true". "We've got the win now, we worked extra hard, we fought till the end, and it's just an exciting moment," he said. "You gotta thank the staff, you gotta thank the nation. You know, they all had the belief in me to do so well, and you know, I felt like today getting that goal, you know, it was amazing," he said. Irankunda's trademark backflip celebration was notably absent, instead going for the corner flag punch, which he said was in tribute to his hero, Tim Cahill. "Timmy Cahill was my biggest inspiration when it comes to football, him and Lionel Messi," he said. "I just thought if I scored, I'll do the same as him." Irankunda was awarded player of the match for his efforts. — Miles Proust
