AL-KHARJ: Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University in Al-Kharj has secured five patents from the US Patent and Trademark Office for innovations in nanotechnology.

The patents were developed by a research team from the College of Science and Humanities, as part of the university’s efforts to support scientific research, strengthen the innovation ecosystem, and enhance knowledge production in line with national development goals.

The portfolio includes inventions related to the manufacturing of sensors, smart materials, and doped nanomaterials designed for various biological applications.

These advanced solutions have potential uses in the energy, environmental, and medical sectors, including improved efficiency in hydrogen peroxide production and detection, contributing to broader scientific and economic impact.

The achievement reflects the university’s commitment to a supportive research environment and to advancing scientific innovation in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
