The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, held a strategic engagement with party leaders, stakeholders and members from the Ibarapa North, East and Central zones as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen unity and consolidate the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The meeting focused on promoting cohesion within the party, sustaining its growth across the state, and building a formidable structure capable of delivering victory in 2027. Participants stressed the importance of collective responsibility, inclusiveness, loyalty to the party, and continuous grassroots mobilization.
During the engagement, Senator Alli addressed rumours circulating in some quarters alleging that names for future commissioners, Special Advisers, and Local Government Chairmen had already been selected and shared among certain party leaders. He firmly debunked the claims, describing them as false, misleading and the handiwork of individuals bent on creating unnecessary division within the party.
The APC governorship candidate urged members to disregard such rumours and remain focused on the bigger task of strengthening the party and preparing for electoral success. He emphasized that no such decisions have been made and cautioned against the spread of unverified information capable of causing disunity among party faithful.
