At least 98 serious crime incidents, including homicides, kidnappings, armed robberies, banditry attacks and terrorism-related cases, were recorded across 22 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) between June 7 and June 13, 2026, according to a new security situation report.

Zamfara State emerged as the worst-hit state, recording seven homicide cases, six kidnappings and seven banditry attacks within the week.
Niger State followed closely with four homicide cases, one armed robbery incident, three kidnappings, seven banditry attacks and one terrorism-related incident, making it one of the most affected states during the reporting period.
