The Andhra University (AU) has cautioned unemployed youth against falling prey to intermediaries or brokers claiming to secure them jobs in the university in exchange for money.Responding to reports that some persons had allegedly collected money from job aspirants in the name of recruitment, AU Registrar K. Rambabu said no complaints had been received by the university so far. He said the university would initiate action if victims came forward with evidence or complaints.The Registrar warned that strict action would be taken against anyone misusing the university’s name. He also said disciplinary action would be initiated if any university employee was found involved in such activities.Mr. Rambabu said all recruitment processes in the university is conducted transparently and in accordance with government norms. Any recruitment notifications, he added, would be published in newspapers and on the university’s official website. He urged job seekers not to pay money to middlemen on promises of employment.
