Still, he said he is confident the deal can be completed, adding that both Trump and the negotiating team "have every intent on getting this done today." Waltz also said Trump has made clear that any agreement must require Iran to give up its stockpile of highly enriched uranium, end its enrichment capabilities and halt support for regional armed groups, including Hezbollah, Hamas, the Houthis and Iraqi militias. Asked whether Iran had agreed to those conditions, Waltz replied: "All of those things, they are agreeing to."Israeli Foreign Ministry rejects Iranian claims over Beirut strikeIsrael's Foreign Ministry accused Iran of lying in response to criticism from senior Iranian officials over the Israeli strike on Beirut's southern suburbs. In a post on X, the ministry said Hezbollah had launched an "unprovoked" attack on Israel earlier on Sunday and has continued to target Israeli civilians despite the cease-fire.
