Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted India’s growing role as a global innovation hub and the increasing strength of its startup ecosystem, at the Bharat Innovates 2026 event in France.Addressing the gathering, he said India has emerged “not as a consumer of solutions but as a contributor to solutions in the world,” adding that “innovation is in India’s DNA,” underscoring the role of young Indian talent in shaping global technological progress.He also said that India’s “reform express” will not stop and will continue to move forward, highlighting the government’s sustained push for reforms across sectors to boost growth, investment, and innovation.Earlier in the day in Nice, PM Modi interacted with global investors and venture capitalists, where he showcased India’s innovation landscape and the potential of its emerging deep-tech ecosystem.He also held bilateral discussions with French leadership, including President Emmanuel Macron, reaffirming the depth of the India-France strategic partnership and expanding cooperation in technology, defence, and innovation.The Prime Minister described the India-France relationship as being built on “connection, conviction, innovation, inspiration and a shared vision,” noting that the partnership is increasingly focused on innovation-led growth and global collaboration.
