Follow Daily Mail Sport's live blog for the latest score, team news and updates as five-time World Cup winners Brazil kick off their campaign against AFCON champions Morocco at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.Brazil are all over the place here. Ibanez has had a nightmare start, again beaten by El Khannouss and then Mazraoui too.The first real chance of the game falls to El Aynaoui, and his shot is blocked. Maybe shout have done better.Hakimi then shoots from the right and it runs out - I think it's a cross, actually. Great cross, but no one in the middle. Finally Brazil come forward but it's slowed down as Thiago is presented with few options. Raphinha shoots, but it's blocked.Brazil 0-0 MoroccoThe former Leicester man takes the free kick himself but Paqueta wins the header on the edge of the box.Brazil are happy not to press here. They do have some great defensive players who will be hard to beat. The first roar comes as Paqueta bursts forward and tries to get the better of Mazraoui, but the Manchester United man comes out on top. This game yet to settle, to be honest. But Morocco have had the better of it so far.Brazil 0-0 MoroccoMorocco start with a kick-off tactic that we are seeing so often now and we settle into play with Brazil on the ball early doors.Loud boos as their opponents get on the ball and a loud cheers as Santos wins it back for Brazil. It's evident who the favoured team are here.Ancelotti is already up on the touchline, looking very healthy, I must say.And an early free kick out wide for Morocco as Ibanez fouls El Khannouss.'So much faffing'By Ian Ladyman At The Metlife StadiumWe are late starting the game here, which given all the faffing around beforehand, is no surprise at all.Two beautiful kits, though, and you always feel like the World Cup has properly started once Brazil play their opening game. They haven’t won this thing since 2002 and they only managed to finish fifth in qualifying but you still can’t imagine a World Cup without them. Here we go…KICK-OFF: Brazil 0-0 MoroccoCan't say I'm massively familiar with either anthem, so, upon hearing them, I think Brazil take it. Both delivered passionately however! We got a nice shot of Ronaldo during the anthem too! That look the VAR officials do, by the way, is so funny. And, finally, we are underway. Morocco kick us off. Here come the teams! And here come the teams!Club team-mates Marquinhos and Achraf Hakimi lead their sides out at the MetLife Stadium to a rapturous applause. There are Brazilian shirts everywhere. We now await the anthems.'The stadium is far from full'By Ian Ladyman At The Metlife StadiumTen minutes to go here and the MetLife is far from full though I presume many of the fans are sheltering from the sun on the concourse. There are two sizeable sections of Morocco fans – one behind the goal – and the rest of this vast bowl is yellow and green. It must be said that the pitch looks beautiful. The Brazilian Times SquareRight - I shared a few snaps earlier of the Brazil fans, but I've just come across an immense video. They have literally taken over Times Square. And it looks like a right party. We're going to see this a lot during the tournament, but the Brazilians may well do it best.'Brazil's' most important players'By Ian Ladyman At The Metlife StadiumThere is no shortage of attacking talent in Carlo Ancelotti’s Brazil squad but I do wonder if their two most important players may turn out to be their central defenders.Arsenal’s Gabriel and Marquinhos of PSG may just be the best defensive unit in the tournament and with Ancelotti relying on Bruno Guimaraes and 34-year-old Casemiro to hold the fort in the centre of his 4-2-4 formation, they may just have to be.Warm-upsThe players have been getting warm inside the stadium - not that they need to.My trusty Apple Weather app tells me it's 30 degrees in New Jersey. Mental. You do not need to get warm!I know, I know - it's for the muscles. And the players have been out getting those muscles warm ahead of kick-off.Neymar has taken to the field too!A draw in the first game of the dayThe first game of the day is done, and Qatar secured a point against Switzerland! It wasn't a great game, but a penalty from Breel Embolo looked to be enough to get the job done. But they simply could not get the second goal, and captain Boualem Khoukhi leapt like a salmon to equalise deep into stoppage time. That's the first round of Group B done too. Now it's time for Group C action. The Brazilian bromanceI mentioned earlier that Brazil's centre back partnership is arguably the best at the tournament, and their relationship was on show after the Champions League final.Gabriel missed the decisive penalty to ensure PSG, captained by Marquinhos, went back-to-back, and the first thing the winning captain did was go over to his comrade to offer his condolences. That's the sign of a great team-mate. I do expect Brazil to have a good defensive record this tournament.Key Updates
