A live elephant was the center of attention at the 2026 Republican Party of Texas Convention, serving as a symbol of unity — and later giving attendees something else to remember.As part of the event, an African elephant named Paige surprised attendees on Friday.
Paige was wearing a banner that said, “UNITY DRIVES VICTORY” alongside the campaign logo for Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX). Abbott reposted a video with the elephant, and said, “Everything IS bigger in Texas!”
