Romeo Beckham publicly declared his love for his estranged brother Brooklyn after he was asked if the aspiring chef would attend David Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony15:38, 13 Jun 2026Updated 15:38, 13 Jun 2026Since the Beckham family's feud was brought to light and confirmed by Brooklyn in his six-page Instagram statement back in January, many have become used to not seeing the aspiring chef at any family gatherings. And David Beckham's Hollywood Walk Of Fame ceremony last week Friday, was no different. However, it seems as though his younger brother Romeo, 23, held out a semblance of hope that his brother would attend the prestigious ceremony, along with his mum Victoria, sister Harper and brother Cruz. When stopped on the street and asked by a videographer if Brooklyn will be attending, he heartbreakingly replied, "We love him. We love him."The family has been locked in a battle with Brooklyn since last year which still shows no signs of a reconciliation, despite efforts by both David and Victoria. Back in March, Cruz also seemed to hold out hope that his estranged brother would voluntarily come back into the fold. When asked if he had well wishes on Brooklyn's birthday, he replied saying: "Happy birthday."And when probed further and asked if there was a possibility of a reconciliation, the musician added: "I hope to."Brooklyn has not been talking to his family for months but it looks as though the one person he has maintained contact with, is his sister Harper. The 14 year old daughter of David and Victoria was seen arriving at his house after attending her father's ceremony.Brooklyn has now built up a history of no-shows at family events since it was speculated back in 2022 that the family dynamic was fractured. This includes all of his dad's 50th birthday celebrations in May last year. Both Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz renewed their vows in August and although Nicola's family attended the romantic ceremony, none of Brooklyn's family were invited. He also did not attend the family gathering over Christmas. The following month Brooklyn posted a statement claiming that he had no desire for a reconciliation. At the time he said; "I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private.Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed."Article continues belowHe continued: "I do not want to reconcile with my family. I'm not being controlled, I'm standing up for myself for the first time in my life. For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family. The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into. Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they'll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade. But I believe the truth always comes out."A family friend said: "Understandably, David and Victoria are distraught and wish they could have resolved this privately. Brooklyn has opened up a whole Pandora’s box. This has only just begun. For now, they intend to maintain a dignified silence on any specifics, but it’s heartbreaking for everyone involved."Like this story?
