MANILA, Philippines — The International Criminal Court (ICC) Pre-Trial Chamber III has ordered a new medical examination on former President Rodrigo Duterte to assess his fitness to stand trial for the alleged commission of crimes against humanity during his administration’s bloody war on drugs.

The Pre-Trial Chamber III earlier set the start of Duterte’s trial on November 30, 2026, on a daily basis until the judicial recess.
