Previous to this early June discount, we had only ever tracked AirPods Pro 3 at less than $199 online once, and that was a short-lived deal that ended up being a bit of a runaround not very many folks even had a chance at. The Verizon Store forced Amazon to drop them down to $185 back in February, but the listings were unreliable at best – you, for the most part, had to have a brick and mortar Verizon shop nearby and hope they had them in stock, while Amazon’s listing ended up being quite difficult at checkout and constantly went in and out of stock.
But with Prime Day landing roughly a month early this year, and just a few days after Father’s Day, retailers have gotten quite aggressive with the discounts ahead of time and this AirPods Pro 3 deal is a perfect example. We expected to see a deal on them this month, and potentially even something back down into the $185 or $189 range, but $179 is rather impressive. There is, of course, a chance they drop lower this month or later this year, but it will almost certainly not be by all that much, if at all.
