Hailed as one of the best talents in the Indian women's cricket team, Jemimah Ivan Rodrigues is a right-handed batter who is known for her repertoire of shots and power-hitting. A talented hockey player as well, Rodrigues began turning heads from a very young age. She was picked in the Maharashtra U-19 team when she was only 13 years old. She became the only second Indian batswoman to score a double century in a limited-over match when she scored 202 for Mumbai against Gujarat. She was only 16 at the time. Rodrigues's ascendancy to fame was quick. She made her international debut in a T20I match against South Africa in 2018. A month later, she made her ODI debut as well. In the 2018 ICC World Twenty20, she was one of the standout players for India. A top-class fielder, Rodrigues has a strong bottom hand that helps her hit the ball as well as she does. In 2019, she was ranked second in the T20I rankings for batswomen. In 2021, she joined Northern Superchargers, a team in The Hundred, a new 100-ball format tournament.
