A statement said: "Officers are appealing for witnesses, CCTV and dashcam footage following a fatal collision in Staplehurst."Kent Police was called to the incident on Headcorn Road at 8.25pm on Thursday 11 June 2026.Article continues below"A blue Seat Ibiza Xcellence was travelling from Headcorn towards Staplehurst, when it left the road at the junction with Sweetlands Lane and collided with a tree. Officers attended alongside paramedics and Kent Fire and Rescue Service."The driver, a 17-year-old girl, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed. Two passengers were also injured.
