In the temporarily occupied Crimea, a fire broke out in the Simferopol power plant area following a drone attack.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Crimean Wind Telegram channel.
“A major fire broke out in the area of the power plant in Simferopol due to the hit or fall of debris from a downed UAV. It is not yet known what was burning,” the report states.
It is noted that unmanned aerial vehicles were detected over Crimea at midnight. The first explosions in Simferopol were heard around 12:20 a.m. Some of them were very loud. Russian air defense systems were actively operating over the city and its outskirts. Half of the Russian air defense missiles fell to the ground. After that, a fire broke out at the power plant.
According to a Telegram channel, explosions and gunfire were heard in the Nyzhnohirskyi and Krasnohvardiiskyi districts, as well as near the Saky Airfield in Novofedorivka and near the village of Hvardiiske. The village was without power from 12:25 a.m. to 1:26 a.m. for an unknown reason. An air raid alert was also declared in Sevastopol.
