Two yet-to-be-identified women lost their lives in a fatal hit-and-run accident along the Car Park C area of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Friday evening.
The Head of Media for the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency, Babatunde Akinbiyi, confirmed the incident in a statement on Friday.
According to Akinbiyi, the crash occurred at about 6:31 pm at Car Park C, the outbound section of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, when the victims were attempting to cross the highway.
He stated that the women were knocked down by a vehicle, which fled the scene immediately after the incident.
