Spencer Pratt conceded defeat in the race for Los Angeles mayor on Friday, painting a bleak picture of the city’s future under either of his opponents and vowing to continue to “expose this corrupt machine.”

Pratt, a Republican and former star of “The Hills,” finished third in the June 2 primary behind two Democrats, incumbent Karen Bass and Councilwoman Nithya Raman, whom Pratt described in his concession as “these commie animals.”

As Raman surpassed him in the vote count five days after election day, Pratt suggested that the count was suspicious. President Trump has also stoked claims of election fraud, as have many other Pratt supporters on social media.

“Not possible for Spencer Pratt to have lost the L.A. runoffs after the big lead he had,” Trump wrote. “3rd World Nation. Rigged Elections!”

Raman now holds a 30,000 vote lead over Pratt, a margin of about 3.5%. In a three-minute video posted on X on Friday morning, Pratt conceded that he will not be the next mayor, saying he “didn’t get in this for political power.”
