The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin, has recorded one of the highest legislative outputs in the 10th National Assembly, sponsoring 42 bills within three years.

The record, covering June 13, 2023, to June 13, 2026, shows consistent legislative activity across governance, economic, and social policy sectors, with five of the bills already passed into law, according to Senate records.

PUNCH Online reports that the 10th National Assembly was inaugurated on June 13, 2023, following a proclamation by President Bola Tinubu, GCFR, and is marking its third anniversary on June 13, 2026.

A Friday statement by Ismail Mudashir, Special Adviser to the Deputy President of the Senate on Media and Publicity, described the output as a significant legislative achievement.
