Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has commended the Department of State Services, the Nigerian Army and the Nigeria Police Force for their role in enhancing security in the state and the South-East region.

Mbah gave the commendation on Friday after inspecting a cache of arms and ammunition recovered by security operatives during a raid on the armoury of the proscribed Eastern Security Network (Eastern Security Network) in Enugu State.

According to a statement by the state government on Friday, the governor visited the State DSS headquarters, where he inspected the recovered weapons allegedly seized during a joint operation involving DSS operatives and troops of the Nigerian Army’s 82 Division.

Items recovered included a rocket launcher, two RPG warheads, three RPG chargers, 11 AK-47 rifles and over 610 rounds of 7.62mm NATO ammunition, as well as National Youth Service Corps uniforms and lanyards.
