Sleuths of Criminal Investigation Department (Forest Cell) seized two elephant tusks weighing 42.700 kg and arrested three persons when they were allegedly trying to sell them at Jodukatte Maroli in the city on Thursday.The names of the arrested were given as Shashank of Puduvettu in Belthangady taluk, Abdul Khader of Manjeshwar (Keralam) and Prabhachandra of Attavar in the city.The officials also seized two cars from the accused.The operation was done under the guidance of Pavan Nejjur, Superintendent of Police, CID (Forest Cell), Bengaluru and Madikeri, an official release said.
