District Collector M. Abhishikth Kishore on Friday emphasised the importance of making yoga an integral part of daily life, stating that the practice contributes significantly to physical fitness, mental well-being and the overall development of children.He was speaking at a Yogandhra programme organised by the Tourism Department and the AYUSH Department at Rushikonda beach as part of the run-up to the International Day of Yoga celebrations.The Collector, along with City Police Commissioner Shankhabrata Bagchi and Joint Collector G. Vidyadhari, inaugurated the programme and later participated in the yoga session.Addressing participants, Mr. Kishore said yoga plays a vital role in promoting a healthy lifestyle in the modern world. He noted that yoga-related activities were being organised across the district under the State government’s ‘Yogandhra’ campaign in accordance with the directions of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.Revenue Divisional Officer Sangeeth Madhur, District Tourism Officer J. Madhavi, AYUSH Regional Deputy Director Srinivasulu and other officials were present.
