Seven years ago, we finally made our family's dream of having a pool in our backyard come true. Then, after several summers of enjoying splashing around in a cheap, blow-up pool, we had an in-ground saltwater pool installed, after agreeing we wouldn't be moving from our family home for the foreseeable future. We had dreams of hosting family and friends. The kids would splash or play water basketball, adults could float and chat while keeping an eye on the kids, and, of course, we'd have snacks, plenty of snacks. Now that we've been hosting our friends and family for a few seasons, I've learned that if I want to keep my budget in check, I need a little help from time to time. Sure, you can use my pool, but can you please bring some snacks to share?
