Neville Delport, who is former ANC Western Cape secretary, is the latest party hopper to leave the DA to join the Patriotic Alliance in just seven months.

Former ANC Western Cape secretary Neville Delport on Friday blamed deep-seated frustrations within the DA as the reasons he joined the Patriotic Alliance this week.

Delport, who was in a high-profile group that defected from the ANC to the DA last November, announced his new allegiance on social media, declaring he would offer no explanations of his decision to “DA bosses” because they did not listen to the people's cry for help.

“Go and look in all the municipalities, the nepotism and service delivery problems. They are the worst, George, Matzikama, and then Swartland follows, and when you address the good, you are treated like nothing. So go to hell, we Baiza,” he posted.

Delport similarly left the ANC claiming the task team, that replaced the provincial executive that was elected on a ticket of Rural for Change and Coloured leaders, did not represent the will of Coloured communities.
