Russia marked its National Day in Nairobi with a diplomatic reception bringing together diplomats, government officials, business leaders and members of the international community in a celebration that also highlighted growing Kenya–Russia relations.
The event attracted representatives of the diplomatic corps, international organisations, academia, the Russian diaspora and friends of Russia, reflecting what organisers described as strong and expanding bilateral ties.
Speaking during the reception, Russia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Kenya, H.E. Vsevolod Tkachenko, noted the steady development of relations between the two countries, saying cooperation continues to grow across political, trade, economic, humanitarian, educational and cultural sectors.
