Lost podium away: Pierre Gasly crossed the finish line in third place, securing what looked to be a hard-earned podium for Alpine.
However, the race stewards quickly hit him with two separate time penalties totalling 10 seconds for allegedly speeding in the pit lane during the Grand Prix.
Drop down the order: This post-race time penalty instantly relegated the French driver from third to seventh in the official classification.
The penalty initially cost Alpine their first top-three finish in over two seasons, leaving the team deeply frustrated.
Flawed track equipment: Alpine immediately challenged the ruling by exercising its right of review after uncovering evidence that the pit-lane timing loops were malfunctioning.
