After facing multiple rejections from NPR's Tiny Desk Concert series, Alessia Cara takes matters into her own hands by launching her own 'Giant Desk' concert series, showcasing her talent and creativity.
When life gives you a Tiny Desk rejection, apparently, you build a Giant Desk.
That is exactly what Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Alessia Cara has done after revealing that NPR’s hugely popular “Tiny Desk Concert” series turned her down more than once.
The Canadian star surprised fans this week when she announced her own live performance series, fittingly titled Giant Desk, complete with a playful jab at the music platform that inspired it.
“Well, the 'Tiny Desk' said no to me a couple (of) times, so I exercised free will and built my own!” Cara wrote on X while sharing pictures from the performance.
