Helen Flanagan says Coronation Street bosses haven't asked her to reprise her role as Rosie Webster, so she's after a new role on a rival TV channel...11:52, 12 Jun 2026Helen Flanagan has revealed that she's eyeing up a new acting role on a rival TV channel after Coronation Street bosses failed to ask her reprise the part of Rosie Webster in the long-running ITV soap. The 35-year-old starred in Corrie for almost two decades after first appearing on screen back in 2000 - when she was just nine years old. In a new interview, she explained that she is 'job hunting' again after her recent theatre work in a play and panto came to an end.Mum-of-three Helen - who shares daughters Matilda, 10, Delilah, seven, and five-year-old son Charlie with her footballer ex Scott Sinclair, 37 - has always been open about her desire to return to the famous cobbles. She has opened up about a possible comeback, telling the Daily Star: "I really want to go back. but they just have not asked me."If the cobbles come calling, I would love to. I am literally just down the road. But sadly, they have not yet."Helen opened up on her future career plans and hopes to "focus on acting", continuing: "I was in theatre for five months and I've had a bit of downtime since then - but right now I'm looking for my next job.And she revealed that as her role as Rosie on Corrie isn't returning anytime soon, she would love to star in another huge drama - over on rival channel BBC instead, adding: "I think I'd be good in Waterloo Road. I'd probably play either a mum or a teacher. I think that would suit me well."Her job shout out comes shortly after she moved out of the eight-bedroom family home in Bolton that she once shared with ex Scott. The pair were together for 13 years and were engaged to married, but shocked fans when they announced their split in 2022.Following their split Helen stayed in the house that she once described as her 'forever' home. But ex Scott - who solely owned the property - sold it earlier this year. The lavish property was put on the market for a staggering £1.5million, but was later reduced to £995,000. It's said to have for sold in the end for £500,000 below the asking price.Helen is now preparing to downsize to a smaller property, though it's unclear where she will settle with her family as she eyes up her latest career move. And moving to London could even be a possibility.Appearing on the Declutter Hub Podcast, she shared: "It actually makes me sad that I'm going to be leaving this house soon because I actually put so much effort into it. I put a lot of my savings into like doing the house up and stuff, and making it look really beautiful."Though she admitted the upkeep of such a big property could sometimes be "a lot" and said: "It's an eight bedroomed house, which is obviously really hard to keep on top of. I mean, I feel really lucky to to live here - well, soon to have lived here - because it is gorgeous. But it's a lot to keep on top of."The actress continued that it will be "weird" at first living somewhere smaller, but said she is "down to earth" and didn't want to "sound a certain way" when talking about it. She added: "I think I'm going to struggle when I do move because I will be downsizing so much. Obviously, I will get used to it, I'm sure."Article continues belowLike this story?
