The two were first linked in 2021, shortly after the release of the 38-year-old's hit album 30, and got engaged three years later.Much of their relationship has remained private, but Rich, 45, has now shared how they actually met, after they were first seen together at a basketball gameSpeaking to Craig Melvin on his Glass Half Full podcast, the sports agent revealed that this was not where they met.Instead, they were connected "through a friend" - and initially just shared a "cordial spark" that later grew into more romantic."You know, just when you’re in these circles, man, you’re in these circles," he teased. "But I never tried to get fresh with people that’s in comfortable circles because they always have to deal with that, so that was never my thing."He revealed that he and Adele met several times before they got together. According to the sports agent, the relationship was "something that happened very organically"."We’re all in the same vicinity, we’re all in the same circles, and, you know, we’re hanging and whatnot," Rich recalled. "We just used to always see each other, laugh and joke. It was just cordial, really, just cordial."But, as time went on, they realised they wanted to be more than friends and decided to start dating. Adele announced their engagement in 2024.Both she and Rich have been married before, and have children from those marriages. Adele is mum to 13-year-old Angelo from her relationship with Simon Konecki, while Rich has three children, Reonna, Richie and Zane. But they are said to be looking forward to blending their family and maybe even having children together.Elsewhere in the podcast, Rich shocked host Craig by revealing that he didn't listen to his partner's music before their relationship blossomed.He said he "can't help but to hear the monster hits" like Hello and Chasing Pavements, but that he was "on the pulse of a lot of different things" and was not a regular listener of Adele's songs.Tottenham-born Adele has been living in the US for years, alongside her son and now Rich, and was doing a Las Vegas residency.Speaking during the last performance of her Las Vegas residency in November 2024, she said: "To my son, I chose to do a residency maybe because I f***ing hate touring.Article continues below"But I chose to do a residency so I could keep his life normal. And I did do that. But I also wouldn't change it for the world, but I get to be with him on the weekends now because obviously he can't always come.
