That is until Percy makes a huge mistake that forces her to leave the Bay for a decade.As the show unfolds, viewers learn that Percy left because she betrayed Sam by sleeping with his elder brother, Charlie. This leads to a major falling out between the trio.While Sam and Percy slowly work towards reconciliation, Charlie completely buries himself in his corporate job.In the finale, Charlie unexpectedly stumbles upon a photo of himself, Sam and Percy in his office. It turns out his boss' wife bought the photograph at a gallery and framed it, unaware who the teenagers in the image were.Before leaving the office, Charlie takes a final moment to admire the picture but he becomes overwhelmed by emotion and collapses.
