ROMA, 12 GIU - Relatives, friends and family participate in the prayer meeting for victims on the first anniversary of the Air India plane crash, in Mumbai, India, 12 June 2026. On 12 June 2025, London-bound Air India flight AI171 carrying 242 passengers and crew aboard crashed into the hostel complex of BJ Medical College in the Meghaninagar area shortly after takeoff, killing 241 people on board and 19 on the ground.
The final report on the crash will be delayed as the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) is still examining the aircraft's engine. (ANSA).
