One person who reportedly won't be present is Brooklyn Beckham, despite being just 20 minutes away.‌David will be honoured for his influence in the sports and entertainment world, but his eldest son - who now lives in Los Angeles - is thought to be skipping the event even though he is only a short drive away from the ceremony.‌"David can’t wait for his star unveiling ceremony. He’ll have Victoria by his side, and her speech is incredibly moving. His close friend Tom Cruise will also honour his career, which will be a huge moment for him," a source told Metro."Brooklyn lives less than 20 minutes away from where the ceremony will be, but won’t be attending. It wouldn’t be the right time or place for a family reunion after everything that’s happened between them."‌The Hollywood Walk of Fame stars are a costly venture, with it being reported that it costs $275 for an application fee as well as a whopping mandatory $85,000 sponsorship fee, which is usually paid by a movie studio, record label or even a fan club.The costly amount means the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce can cover the lifetime maintenance for the star as well as the creation and installation of the star, and also the ceremony itself. Around 20-30 people get a star each year, chosen by a special committee and anyone can be nominated if they have five years experience in their field as well a history of charitable contributions.Brooklyn and his parents spectacularly fell out and in an explosive moment this January, he released a statement where he accused his parents of "trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding".‌"I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed," he said in the lengthy statement."I do not want to reconcile with my family. I'm not being controlled, I'm standing up for myself for the first time in my life. For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family. The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into."‌He added: "Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they'll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own façade. But I believe the truth always comes out.Since then, Victoria hit back at Brooklyn's claims and said she has always tried to be there for her kids."I think that we've always - we love our children so much", she said. "We've always tried to be the best parents that we can be. And you know, we've been in the public eye for more than 30 years right now, and all we've ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children.
