TUGUEGARAO CITY — Around 1,000 job seekers flocked to a private mall here on June 12 to apply for 1,500 job vacancies offered by 53 local and international employers during an Independence Day job fair.
About 30 applicants were hired on the spot (HOTS), with more expected as the fair continued, according to Labor and Employment Regional Director Elpidio Jesus Atal Jr., who said the event underscored efforts to provide immediate employment opportunities and connect qualified applicants with potential employers.
