Canva has unveiled a new Offline mode that will enable users of the graphic design and visual communications platform to continue their work even when their internet is limited or unavailable. Changes made with Canva Offline will be updated automatically, with the content syncing once the users reconnect.Canva noted that the feature was launched at the Canva Create event earlier this year, and that it was one requested by many of its global users. In order to access the feature, users will have to make their existing designs available offline first, by selecting this option. However, some features will not work without the internet, while audio/video additions could lead to glitches, according to Canva’s help page. Users’ changes are saved locally on their device and they can work offline for up to 14 days. The supported platforms are Chrome/Edge/Safari, Firefox (versions below 149), the Canva desktop app, the Android app, and mobile browsers. However, iOS and iPad apps, Firefox (versions 149 and above), and private/incognito mode are not supported.Canva said that the Offline mode was available at no additional cost to all Canva users.“With more than a billion designs created in the last year alone, India has emerged as one of Canva’s fastest-growing and most creative communities globally. Offline mode reflects our commitment to building for the way India creates today: mobile-first, always moving, and full of ideas. By making creativity more accessible and flexible, we’re empowering millions of people to keep bringing great ideas to life - wherever inspiration strikes,” said Rob Kawalsky, Global Head of Product, Canva.
