Thai and Vietnamese business leaders are seeking opportunities to collaborate across key industries, aiming to drive mutual benefits and strengthen the economic partnership between the two nations, says the Board of Investment (BoI).They shared their views on new business development, notably in industrial estates, digital and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, and clean energy, during the recent Thailand-Vietnam Investment and Business Networking meeting in Hanoi, which was attended by 100 participants from the government and business sectors, including the BoI.
Amata VN Plc, a Thai industrial estate developer operating in Vietnam, took this opportunity to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Hanoi-based FPT Corporation, a technology and telecom service provider, to conduct a feasibility study on smart industrial city development.
"The MoU aligns with Amata's aim to build smart infrastructure to serve new investors," said Somhatai Panichewa, chief executive of Amata VN.
The study will pave the way for the development of smart industrial city solutions in Thailand, Vietnam and Laos, helping to improve manufacturing through AI and automated systems, as well as supporting digital technology, she noted.
